How Star Wars Characters Give Us Life

What do you like most about the Star Wars franchise? Who are your favorite characters? I believe the best part of Star Wars are the characters. The characters give life and meaning to American popular and World culture.

Ever since I can remember, Luke Skywalker has been a hero in the Star Wars universe. Do you remember playing with Yoda and Darth Vader action figures? Remember when every girl wanted to be Princess Leia for Halloween. The characters were so dynamic and they are amazingly evolving to this day.

And so the story goes, George Lucas sold his film rights to Disney and a series of new Star Wars movies emerged. It began with the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015 directed by J.J. Abrams. Do you remember how the Force Awakens broke every box office record in the book.

And the next one, simply marketed as A Star Wars Story, was Rogue One starring Felicity Jones. The film received critical praise and collected over $1 billion from movie goers.

On December 15, Star Wars: the Last Jedi debuts in theaters around the world. Fans are excited to see Mark Hamil reprise his role as Luke Skywalker. I'm looking forward to seeing the Last Jedi. It has a great trailer which aired for the first time during the World Series yesterday.

Through the years I've come to love science fiction and fantasy movies. I'm drawn by the mystery and suspense. These are my favorite science fiction and fantasy actresses.

Have you ever wanted to compare Star Wars and Star Trek? Check out this cool comparison of Star Wars Vs. Star Trek. I'll do a Stardust story some time soon if you're interested.

I say all this to say that the Star Wars series is as American as the World Series (baseball). The Star Wars franchise is here to stay. Plus, it is the characters that give us life.
